International Business
International could be a good major but it could also be a hard career to keep. The first article that I read was about the global budget race and it talks about the recession that the U.S is going through. In every country this is happening it is basically the same thing. It is kind of a bad thing for the people that work in International Business because they could lose their jobs and plus there is not that many jobs out there if we keep having problems with the budgets. I read another article about how they want to expand the bargaining environment. They want to see if it could actually work. It also says how actors and models help to motivate the bargaining environment.
International Business refers to business with two or more countries. The International Business Environment by: Janet Morrison talks about how there’s four forms of business ownership that are sole trader, partnership, company, and state owned enterprises. Sole trader is simple because is self employed person. Partnership is when two or more people are in it together. Company is also called corporation is separate from the members who compromise. State owned enterprises are different than all of them because this one is owned by the government. The classification of business by size is small 0 – 49 employees, medium is 50 – 249 employees, and large 250 – more employees.
There’s this association it’s called International Business association. The association needed to change in order to be opened again. It also says that people with past experiences and lessons can be use to initiate the association to get back on track. People need to be a good influence to make the change in the association. They need to work hard in order for the association to work. They have strong alliances with private business, government entities, international universities, and trade organizations. They maintain a close partnership with the California Inland Empire District Export Council (CIEDEC). Associations are very powerful. They show you that you need more people to come together and be successful.
In the career website I found out a lot of new things also. What really caught my eye was the General Manager, Business Management and administration. It was very important because it showed you how everything works and how it is. In large organizations the manager has to take care of everything that happens around how organization to make sure that everything is the way it is. I could relate to this because I am very organize and I don’t like to have things all messy. Not just in larger corporations but also in small organizations you could see that the manager is making everything right and making sure he hires the right people for his store.
Learning about all this has made me realize that I have set my mind about what I really want to do. I really want to be in International Business and experience work and life at the same time. Traveling is what I want to do, learn a new language, eat something new, or meet new people. Reading about International business has also made me realize that there is going to be a lot of up’s and down’s but I’ll definitely find a way to make it work. I’m very patient when it comes to my life and I feel like this could be a good thing for me to see and experience.
